National Basketball Association’s Golden State Warriors

This weekend has seen the Golden state warriors thrash out Atlanta Hawks during the game’s fourth quarter in Oakland. Josh Smith was on fire as he oversaw almost all lay ups for the nearly bashed warriors who emerged winners with a thirty five against twenty four points for the opponents.
The Warriors lacked the services of Phillip Wright who watched the game from the sidelines suffering from an injury. The team is upbeat and they are hoping to make it to the finals of this years, playoffs later in April. With no new signings, this team gave out free tickets for a sponsored mohawk cut, and there are rumors flying around that Corey Magette is leaving the team before closure of the transfer window, while they prepare to bring in Zyndrunas of cleveland cavaliers.
On May 12 last year, Golden State Warriors decided not to renew their former general manager’s Chris Mullin’s contract that had been holding the position for the past five years. In addition, funny as it may sound, he had spent two years in the team’s front office as a special assistant. He then succeeded Garry St. Jean before assuming the title of executive vice president of basketball operations. On April 5 of the year two thousand and six, Golden state warriors were officially eliminated from playoff contention with a five-point margin loss to Hornets after they were thrashed one hundred and nineteen points to their one hundred and nine point score.
The defeat extended their play off drought to twelve seasons, but they utilized their off-season time wisely by rebuilding themselves. Their efforts paid off on January 24 the year two thousand and seven when they won their first game with their revamped team. But their bask in glory was short lived as their turning point came on March fourth the same year after a six consecutive losing streak with the last nail on the coffin being nailed in as they were playing in Washington. They lost the game on a single point margin after losing one hundred and six against one hundred and seven.
On April eighteenth two thousand and seven, Golden State warriors got their first playoff bid since nineteen ninety four, with their splendid final match where they won one hundred and eight points ahead of their opponents ninety eight. On June 30 2008, Baron Davis, who had the majority of shares in the franchise, opted out of his last contractual year with Golden state warriors. On June 25 last year, the team Jamal Crawford was traded to the Atlanta Hawks and a month later, Marco Belinelli was traded to the Toronto Raptors. Moreover, breaking away from tradition, at the end of August last year the team signed Mikki Moore before being waived on January 8 this year. At the same exact date the following month, Speedy Claxton was also waived before signing in Anthony Tolliver last week. The team did not make it to this season’s play offs.
