John Mayers’ tour in U.S and Canada

John Clayton Mayer was born on 16th October 1977. He is an award winning musician raised in the state of Connecticut, Bridgeport. Before moving to the city of Atlanta in 1977, he went to Berkley College of music in the state of Boston. He released two studio albums heavier things and room for squares that went to attain platinum status. The year 2003 saw him win a Grammy award for the best male pop vocal performance.

John Mayers started his career mainly performing acoustic rock but eventually made a slow transition into blues. The year 2005 he did collaboration with music blues greats like Eric Clapton, B.B king and Buddy guy. You can feel the blues influence on his album that was released in 2006 continuum. In 2007, he won   a Grammy award for the best pop vocal performances. Mayer’s fourth studio album was released in 2009 and is known battle studies.

Mayer has extended his creativity into the world of writing, comedy and design. He has written for major magazines like esquire on a number of occasions. Mayers star started to shine in March 2000 when he was spotted by an aware records official at a south by southwest festival. Aware was the one that released Mayer’s room for squares album. They made a deal with Columbia records that allowed it pick the best talent in aware. In that same year, Columbia re-released the album room for squares after remixing it.

By 2002 the album had spawned a number of hits songs such as why Georgia, your body is wonderland and no such thing .Mayer released a DVD and CD of any given Sunday. This was a concert in Birmingham, Alabama that did not contain some songs that would later appear on the album heavier things. Some of the hits not previously recorded included something’s missing and man on the side.

The heavier things album received great reviews from, rolling stones and blender. Though the response was conservative it was positive. The album went to earn its first number one single daughters. The song went to take the 2005 Grammy award for song of the year category. It beat songs from such big contenders like kanye west and Alicia keys. Mayer dedicated that Grammy to his grandmother who had died in May. In was a good outing for him as he won a Grammy also for the best male pop vocal performance. He beat prince, seal and Elvis Costello for that award.

Mayer has had major collaborations with artist outside his genre such as Nelly and jay-z. He also has done songs with common and kanye west. The Mayer trio was formed in 2005 and it consisted of john Mayer, drummer Steve Jordan and base guitarist Pino Palladino. The Mayer trio was honored to open for the rolling stones 2005 October sold out club tour. The trio then released an album Try in November the same year. The continuum album was released in September 2006.it was a production of Steve Bruce and john Mayer. The song waiting on the world to change was a download favorite the week it was released.

Mayer has been involved in various charities such as another kind green. This charity helps to reduce the effects of global warming but advocating the use of cheap alternatives to plastics. He has a blog that emphasizes his fans to cut down on carbon emissions. He has performed in various charities and telethons in his career.

The battle studies album was released in Novembers in 2007.it debuted number in the U.S billboard album. It has a set of 11 tracks and last for 45minutes.the album has become a commercial success. It has receives mixed reviews from critics. Touring to support this massive album John Mayer will perform a series of shows and concerts Canada and the United States beginning in Florida on 4 of Feb. During the tour, Mayer will be backed up by his seven piece member buoyed by his soothing guitar and soft vocals.The tour will end on 10 April in the city of Chicago.
