Jeff Dunham Upcoming Events

Jeff Dunham was born in 1962 in Dallas Texas and he is a stand-up comedian and ventriloquist who have appeared in so many television shows including Late Show with David Letterman, Sonny with a Chance, Star Search, The Tonight Show, and Comedy Central Presents. He was raised in an affluent neighborhood and he was the only adopted son of a real estate tycoon and homemaker. He began his career as a ventriloquist at the age of eight when his was given a Mortimer snerd by his parents as a gift for Christmas. When he received his present from his parents, he borrowed a how-to book that deals with ventriloquism on the following day. He then began to practice for hours in front of the mirror where he studied the routes of Edgar Bergen.
Among the events, that Jeff Dunham is to perform, include the Disney on Ice: World of Fantasy, which will take place at the Stockton Area in Stockton, California. This event will be on 18 February 2010 and tickets are being sold currently. Disney on Ice: World of Fantasy is an event that will take place for four days starting on Thursday 18 all the way until Sunday 21, 2010. Another event that will follow the Disney on Ice: World of Fantasy is the Ron White event, which will be staged at the Terry Fator Theatre in Las Vegas. Other events that will be staged at the Terry Fator Theatre include the Terry Fator, Lewis Black, Brad Garrett, Ray Romano and Kevin James, and Jay Leno,
Jeff Dunham other upcoming events will be held at the Stockton Arena, The Reno Event Center, Oracle Arena, Spokane Arena, Enmax Center, US Cellular Center, Van Andel Arena, The Colosseum At Caesars Windsor, XL Center which was formerly the Hartford Civic Center, and the Verizon Wireless Center (Formerly Alltel Center). Other Jeff Dunham upcoming events of include The Jeff Dunham Identity which premiers on February 28 at XL Center, Hartford, CT. On Wednesday March 3, Jeff Dunham will be at the Verizon Wireless Center, Mankato, MN and on the following day, he will head to Champaign, Illinois at the University of Illinois, the Assembly Hall.
Jeff Dunham first encounter with the television began when he was doing commercials for Datsun dealerships and during this time, he was still a high school student. He graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas in the year 1986 and moved to Los Angeles in California and he had no job as he had commented. In 1985, he performed alongside Ann Miller and Mickey Rooney in the Broadway show Sugar Babies. In the same year, he also appeared in the show Westbury Music Fair on Long Island. This was just the beginning of big things that were to follow and in 1990 Dunham made his debut in a television show by the name The Tonight Show alongside Johnny Carson. When this show ended, he was invited to sit on the couch of Johnny Carson, which is seen as a great honor and a mark of approval.
In January 2008, Jeff Dunham has been voted The Top Comic in the Stand-Ups Showdown of the Comedy Central and thus is the only person to have won the prestigious “Ventriloquist of the Year” Award two times and he was nominated Comedian of the Year by the TNN Music City News County Awards. He is one of the renowned comedians and has won praises from the Dallas Morning News for his contribution to the comedy world. His techniques and timing are some of the things that have seen him climb the ladder of success to a level where he is at the top of his career.
Not all people will love Jeff Dunham. Some people have accused him of being a racist homophobic, caricatures and sexist. In 2008, a TV commercial was banned in South Africa after a citizen filed a suit stating that the ad was offensive to Muslims and he claimed that the ad portrays all Muslims as terrorist. The ad featured Jeff Dunham’s character Achmed the Dead Terrorist. One of the greatest works of Jeff Dunham is a television series that goes by his name and it was aired in the Cable Television network in the USA in the Comedy Central....... Continue
