Lead Singer, Jon Bon Jovi, keyboardist, David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres and later guitarist Richard Sambora (who many know as Mr. Heather Locklear) make up Sayreville, New Jersey’s Bon Jovi, a rock band that have been around for over 20 years. Having sold over 120 million records worldwide over their career, they had a spectacular performance at the recent 52nd Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. They are a band so revered that they gave the fans a chance to choose which of their number one hit song they would perform at the gala that was viewed worldwide on CBS. Their 80′s smash, Livin’ On A Prayer was the night’s winner and saw them perform this track after belting out their newest single that was up for a Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group’ Grammy, ‘Weren’t Born To Follow’ alongside Jennifer Nettles.
Bon Jovi are slated to begin their worldwide tour titled ‘Circle’ which will begin in the state of Hawaii and will run through the year 2010 with shows in the famous O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom, a show slated for France and of course shows in their home state of new Jersey and selected cities across the Unites States. This also happens to be the title of their latest album released in November 2009 and the first single is ‘Weren’t Born To Follow’. This is a band that is well known for tracks like ”It’s My Life’, ‘Always’, ‘You Give Love A Bad name’, ‘Wanted: Dead Or Alive’, ‘One Wild Night’, ‘Have A Nice Day’ and may other hits that have been many a fan’s favorite karaoke machine tune of choice. With 14 albums, over 2000 concerts and an induction into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame and the UK Music Hall of Fame, Bon Jovi is undoubtedly one of the biggest rock n roll acts over the past 30 years.
The ‘Circle’ Tour is set to begin on 11 February 2010, at 7.30 pm local time at the Neil S. Blasdell Center, Honolulu, Hawaii. Their opening act while on tour is fellow rocker, Kid rock, who is best known for his relationship with Baywatch Babe, Pamela Anderson and also for his illustrious career that has seen him have record sales of over 25 million. There will be one other Hawaii show at the same venue the following night. It will then move to the Key arena in Seattle Washington for two shows on the 19th and 20th February. It will then move to the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California, down to Glendale, Arizona then back to the Sunshine State of California at the Honda Center for 2 shows on the 22th, 24th, 26th and 27th respectively.
For Bon Jovi fans in California, they still get to see more of the rock icons in Sacramento at the Arco Arena and for the Los Angeles fans; they will be performing right where they stood on Grammy night at the Staples Center on the third and 4th of March. A ‘must-have’ performance in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena will take place on 6 March, with shows in Denver, Omaha, Wichita, Fargo, Kansas and Auburn Hills in the same months of March. The band is set to play in neighboring Canada on the 19th and 20th of March at the Center Bell in Montreal. Up to 29th of May, they will be playing in other cities in the US with a show on that night in hometown New Jersey. The band will then take their epic tour to the United Kingdom for seven shows in the month of June. It will then go to Canada and the US in the month of July with a final concert in Chicago at Soldierfield Arena on 30 July.
